Criminal law

Criminal law is a sub-branch of law that examines all concepts that can be considered as elements of crime and punishment. It consists of two main parts as general criminal law and special criminal law. It covers the concepts that reduce or eliminate the penalties, which can be valid in all crimes, including participation and social attempts.

What is the Purpose of Criminal Proceedings?

It is to protect individual rights and freedoms, public order and security, the rule of law, public health and the environment, public peace, and to prevent crime.

Who will be punished according to the Turkish Penal Code?

In the application of the Penal Code, no discrimination can be made between persons in terms of race, language, religion, sect, nationality, color, gender, political or other ideas or thoughts, philosophical belief, national or social origin, birth, economic and other social positions, and no one can be criminalized without any privilege.
